ThatZX14Fella Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 We don't have it as bad as Texas, but it has been raining every day here. Finally talked my dad into going fishing and got to make about three casts before getting soaked. Gonna try again in the morning, but wish we could've fished more today. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted May 30, 2015 Super User Posted May 30, 2015 I just heard a report that stated Texas has had about 12 Trillon gallons of rain..( recently ) 1 Quote
BassnChris Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 They did get a lot. We got between 12"-17" this month in OK. The wettest month ever I think. Most all the lakes in eastern OK are near the top of flood pool. Only like 7 or 8 days without rain........think we are in for a week or so with no rain. I'm with you.....tired of the rain! 1 Quote
ThatZX14Fella Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 It's been ridiculous. Haven't been able to do much because every time you go to do something it's coming a flood outside. Lol Quote
einscodek Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I love the rain and fishin in it.. profile pic to left (rain) 1 Quote
ThatZX14Fella Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 I'm not a fan of rain. Enough to keep the land hydrated good is good enough for me. I hate it when it rains every day though. It gets beyond annoying. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted May 31, 2015 Super User Posted May 31, 2015 To add to BassnChris's comment, our favorite lake is 27' above normal. Not only is the ramp under water, the entire parking lot is under water. It's been really bad around here. 1 Quote
Slefler Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I'm sick of it. Great the lakes are full now it looks like it's going to calm down a bit. It's really scattered the fish with the "new" water. 1 Quote
WPCfishing Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 We needed the rain in Southern New England. Supposed to go on for three days straight. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted June 2, 2015 Super User Posted June 2, 2015 All our lakes are down in central Florida, in fact some are dangerously low. Just today though, we got the rainfall everyone was hoping for, and lightning that sounded like cannon fire. June & July is our rainy season, and just like last year our first welcome rain coincided with June 1st Roger Quote

Get some decent foul weather gear with bib overalls. It will keep you dry, and you may actually look forward to the rain. A lot of folks share your aversion to the rain, and stay home, meaning that there are a lot less people on the water. It all but eliminates the jet skis and recreational boaters. Dress for the weather. You'll stay dry, comfy, and find yourself looking forward to the rainy days. This is particularly true if work limits your fishing activity. 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 3, 2015 Global Moderator Posted June 3, 2015 It finally quit raining for a day so I could mow the yard. I was wading through marsh and chopping water with the mower but I got it done, just in time to rain some more 1 Quote
skeeter1980 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Been raining all week in Delaware, with wind and low temps. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted June 3, 2015 Super User Posted June 3, 2015 Got to go camping and fishing Memorial day . First day only got a few of hours to fish , did well however . That night two and a half inches of rain. Next day it was a different lake and only caught one . Quote
ThatZX14Fella Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Of course when I get a job and don't have time to fish it stops raining every day. Lol then again, it's kinda a good thing because I work outside and we can't do very much when it rains. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 We haven't had it as bad as some places either, but I hear what you are saying. Every single time I went out fishing in May I got rained on, and I am tired of wearing a rain suit. 1 Quote
