JDJ Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Agree - you guys are over-thinking this one. Just unspool from the bottom. Like this: Quote
EvanT123 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I just run a pencil threw the hole in the middle, put a foot on each side and wind it on. 1 Quote
Grantman83 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I just run a pencil threw the hole in the middle, put a foot on each side and wind it on. That's what I always did. Guess I never really noticed. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 Is that illustration from Shimano or Diawa? (Spinning reel ) Or from power pro? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 It's from Shimano, but it doesn't matter. If you want to put line on with out twisting it, that's how it's done. As far as the birches go, I never noticed, I leave the spool in the box, and spool from there. It's in the instructions. Quote
WPCfishing Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Get some lighter fluid and a match. Make a video of it burning and post it. Quote
gheir24 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I bought 8 spools of different test Power Pro to redo my reels. Having encountered that stupid notched design, making it near impossible to spool my saltwater spinners, I returned the other seven and will NEVER buy power pro again! Great line but the stupidity of the company lost all my respect for the product. It's like riding on tires with one square side. Duhhhhh... and I will be warning everyone I know. Quote
