livemusic Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Anyone got any recommendation for rubber boots that you like? For fishing farm ponds with heavy grass and briars around them. Also for launching boat off in colder weather. Seems I too often must step in the water. I have even considered hip boots but would want something decently comfortable. Quote

I'm not really big on recommending things I havent "used" but these boots felt amazing. There are also many options available. Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted May 30, 2015 Super User Posted May 30, 2015 I would try waders personally. Quote
Bladesmith, Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 I have a pair of "Muck" boots that I got at the local feed store. They are tough enough to go through the weeds and briars that we have here in Okieland. 1 Quote

This model is a little $$ and hard to come by for some reason but they have a built in "wader" folded at the top of each boot which can be deployed when needed. Very nice. A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted May 30, 2015 Super User Posted May 30, 2015 Muck Boots are good quality, last forever. The Marsh Hipper boot may also fit your needs. Cabelas, Sears, Amazon all have these on sale from time to time. Tom 1 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted May 30, 2015 Super User Posted May 30, 2015 I always used a lacrosse 18" ( knee highs) during spring turkey, archery for whitetails http://www.lacrossefootwear.com/performance/hunt/rubber/ Worked nicely for many, many years.. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 31, 2015 Global Moderator Posted May 31, 2015 Muck boots are what I wear all winter long and anytime I'm in tall grass on the bank. Quote
Ozark_Basser Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Mucks! Cheaper than Bogs and just as good. Quote

EDIT: Never mind, lol, I see now that all of these type boots are expensive. Problem is, finding anything recommended in this thread! Quote

A-Jay Wow, I absolutely love this concept, with the wader option... awesome! If I can only find some. I'll just have to spend the money. Probably have them the rest of my life, lol. 1 Quote
