mwwilliams Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Shimano Stradic 2500, But stay away from the FI's The Stradic Fl's? Or Symetre? And why? Quote
jjnosal@msn.com Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I have owned many stradics, the Fi is the least smooth of all I have owned. Love my new FJ, Fg, Fh, ect. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted August 24, 2015 Super User Posted August 24, 2015 I have two Pfluger Presidents and I can't see myself ever needing a nicer or more expensive spinning reel. X2. I have one for weightless plastics, and one for finesse type crankbaits. 1 Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 27, 2015 Super User Posted August 27, 2015 Has anyone tried the quantum smoke reel? What size and how do you like it? I ilke the smokes a lot, my next reel most likely will be smoke inshore 40. Not quite as nice as my Cabo 40's, the smoke matches up better on some of my lighter 7'6 med and med/hvy rods. 1 Quote
Drew03cmc Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I'm old school, still use my 1962 Mitchell 300, still my first choice when conditions allow, still have 3 NIB dating to 1952. I have a few old Garcia Mitchell 300/301 sitting on the workbench. One has been relubed, the other 300 and the 301 haven't yet. I could be coerced to part with them, cheaply if one were so inclined. They're fantastic reels, but not my cup of tea. I'm using a Lew's SG300 right now and look to upgrade to a Cabela's/Daiwa soon. No Shimbindos for me please. 1 Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted August 28, 2015 Super User Posted August 28, 2015 my favorite spinning reel is the Pflueger Patriarch Magnesium in size 40 , awesome reel and super light and smooth , i used to use 20 and 25 size reels , but i like the wider spool to cut down loops and twist .
