My brothers Border colie had puppies last week and I get one, so I can't wait till I can take her fishing!

It will be a while though considering her eyes are still closed :)

I'll try and get a pic later.

My wife wants a border collie for our next dog. They're very energetic and intelligent dogs, should make a good fishing buddy.

Yep they are very intelligent and my favorite breed of dog by far and are very loyal.

I also love golden retrievers like the one you have.

Yeah I love the Goldens because of their love for the water and they're a little more calm, so she's a little easier to deal with in the boat.

Enjoy your new companion. If you're really lucky and the dog absolutely "gets it", you'll be going fishing even more frequently in the future, just to keep the dog happy. That's my excuse anyway. ;)

You won't be disappointed. Border collies are great. Their personalities are probably the closest to humans I've seen in dogs. I'd say the biggest difference between golden retrievers and border collies is border collies can be pretty intense and golden retrievers are generally more laid back. There's definitely exceptions though. While our female is very intense and loves working, our male is one of the laziest dogs I've ever seen, he sleeps and lays around 24/7 and he's only 3 years old!

Give that dog a purpose, they are very driven and very, very smart! Training will be a must with large areas to run! Cute as a button tho, good luck and we need more pics when you get her home!!
