I'm going tomorrow to academy to buy a few cranks. Wanting to buy square bill because I fish mostly shallow stained lakes. If you could only buy 3 what size and colors would you choose.

I'd buy the H2O brand CRS and you could probably afford to buy some more that way since they're $3.99 apiece. You really can't go wrong with any of their colors but chartreuse black back, threadfin shad, bluegill, red craw are all good colors.

Strike king 1.5 and 2.5. A darker/ red or brown color. A chartreuse and black and a gizzard shad.

Thanks for the suggestions.

For stained water:

1. SK KVD 1.5 Firetiger

2. Bomber Square A 2" - Apple Red Craw

3. Xcalibur XCS Square Lip 100 - Creek Craw

If you are on a budget I'd stick to the CRS, they are decent quality at a decent price.

Oh yeah, forgot to say if the water is real murky, the SK KVD 2.5 is better. Bigger is almost always better when there is little visibility.
