Super User flyfisher Posted June 5, 2015 Author Super User Posted June 5, 2015 And he scored 2 in OT on an uncontested layup. He doesn't have the killer instinct it takes. He will never be MJ or Kobe. Give me a break, the dude played his guts out and took a team to the finals that has no business being there. That team is severely overmatched but they made it a close game and could have won. And you are right, he will never be Kobe or MJ, he will be Lebron and better than those two. To me Kobe isn't even close to MJ or Lebron but that is for another thread so I won't derail my own post anymore lol Maybe you misunderstood. He is a GREAT basketball player. He is also HUGE crybaby. All of the great players in the last 20 years, for the most part are crybabies....MJ and Kobe being two of the worst offenders. If all the games are like this, it will be a good series. Not having Kyrie at 100% is going to really hurt them and their chances to win but I still think they can do it. 2 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 Lol, didn't deserve to be there? They came out of the East. There are 5 teams in the West that would have won the East against the teams the Cavs played. Quote

Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 I'm not a huge basketball fan, but oh boy was that an exciting game to watch! We're in for a great series, regardless who wins. And yes, I am rooting for my home team of course. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 Kyrie Irving is out for 3-4 months with a fractured knee cap. Quote
Big C Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Kyrie Irving is out for 3-4 months with a fractured knee cap. I bet a fractured knee cap hurts worse than not being able to play in the Finals. Sounds like a really painful injury. Gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted June 6, 2015 Super User Posted June 6, 2015 Cleveland big three is down to just one. The remainder players can try to step up but nobody has Irving's shooting/scoring skills. Tragic blow to the Cavs. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted June 6, 2015 Author Super User Posted June 6, 2015 I highly doubt there were 5 teams that could come out of the east from the west. Sure the bottom of the East is pretty weak but the top teams in both conferences are good. LeBron has taken one of the most historically weak teams in NBA history to the finals and it isn't because of a weak conference either. Losing Kyrie is going to be too much for even Lebron to handle. I think they win a game or two but without some heroic contributions from role players, I don't see the cavs being able to win this series. Quote
Super User David P Posted June 6, 2015 Super User Posted June 6, 2015 Even with Irving, the Cavs weren't going to win the series. LeBron won't put up 40+ a game, nor would Irving have put up those numbers every game either. It had to go to overtime even with those guys playing unbelievably, plus the Warriors not shooting anywhere close to what they're capable of. Unfortunately, what went from a fun 5-6 game series, now will be far less entertaining. Would have rather the warriors beat up on a fully stacked Cleveland team, but I'll be happy to see my home town finally get a championship. Quote
Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Besides the Cavs there are only 2 good teams in the East. The Bulls and the Hawks. Spurs, Warriors, Clippers, Thunder (when healthy), Rockets, Grizzlies, Trail Blazers, Mavericks. They could all beat Chicago and Atlanta in a 7 game series. Quote

Trail blazers really? You must just copy and paste off of ESPN. The Mavs, zero chemistry, the thunder have absolutely zero depth at 2 and 5 isn't to far behind, against a team like the Bulls who destroy you in the paint on D. The Bulls depth alone would dominate the 1 and 2 of the thunder. Taj Gibson has no trouble defending big time guys. KD would be limited, once he got down into the paint there is Joakim Noah. The Spurs are just not what they used to be, they are obviously showing signs of aging. The clippers are terrible against East teams that control the tempo, like the Bulls and Hawks. Don't listen to ESPN for a few hours then act like you have been watching these teams the whole season. 1 Quote

Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Portland has been hurt. SA was only a 6 seed because of a few tie breakers that didn't go their way and they lost home court, if game 7 was in SA, they would have won. The OKC depth is about equal to Chicago's. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted June 8, 2015 Super User Posted June 8, 2015 Can we not just sing the national anthem??? I mean, really??? Not only is the guitar thing plain stupid but we had to listen to his wife bang on the drums. I'm sick of people taking a symbol of our great country and making a mockery of it. Just find someone who can sing the dang thing and let them sing it. The performance should be about honoring our country, not how ridiculous we can make it. *sorry, that just rubs me the wrong way 1 Quote
Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 You're not the only one, man. That was a poor choice to have them do it like that. Show some respect. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted June 8, 2015 Super User Posted June 8, 2015 If GS is so tough how could they lose to the Cavs at home against only one player of the big three playing. So far the the MVP is not Curry but LB . Quote
preach4bass Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 What a game! What a series so far! If LBJ can win this thing it will do a lot to silence his critics and put him up there with the GOATs. Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted June 8, 2015 Author Super User Posted June 8, 2015 Maybe the league is trying to go away from the star treatment that they brought in when Jordan was playing. Lebron was getting crushed all night long. IT was a good game though and if the Cavs can somehow win this series, Lebron will need all the off season to recuperate from this one. He is a beast out there. And what is up with Curry, he seems like a cocky little punk out there...he has a sweet shooting stroke for sure but his attitude seems pretty poor. Anyways, looking forward to the next game for sure. 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted June 8, 2015 Super User Posted June 8, 2015 I was floored when I saw this last night .... Shaqtin' a fool has a new highlight. Quote
Big C Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 The refs couldn't give GS the game in the fourth/OT. Mozgov was huge, but why did they pull him in the second half? He was on fire. Quote
