Super User Bankbeater Posted May 29, 2015 Super User Posted May 29, 2015 I went out for about 7 hours the other day. The LM were pretty active during a rain shower. I caught 5 in about a half hour. Then things slowed up for a few hours. Only boated two using a crankbait. All were between 1 and 2 pounds. Getting ready to leave I saw that my fluke had some weeds on it so I decided to throw it out into the lake and clean it off. Then POW something hit it hard! I was using a H/F rod for the weeds, and it was bent over. I was sure I had a new PB on the end of my line! After playing the fish for awhile I got it close enough to see it. It turned out to be a hybrid bass that weighed about 1.5 lbs. Not very big, but that was the best fight I have had all year. 1 Quote
*Hank Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 At least you had fun landing it! If you had`nt seen it or landed it you would have been mourning over it for months... 1 Quote
charter21p5 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Great story and imagine if that fish was sized to be your next PB. It would have been quite the fight. Quote
