kayl. Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Has anyone fished this lure? Looks crazy...I'm going to buy one, but not sure what size. Just wondering what experience y'all had with it and what size recommendations you'd give... I'm between the 5" 7/8 oz and the 3.5" 5/8 oz... http://www.tackletour.com/reviewbettencourtbaitsrodent.html Quote
cpvenom Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 It got an 8.5 in the review, and I guess I could see the fish catching ability. Let us know how it goes Kayl. Quote
kayl. Posted May 5, 2007 Author Posted May 5, 2007 I ordered it today; I have something for weird baits... I expect it to be productive, at least with the toothy critters we have in MI, and hopefully for Bass too! Quote
Supermat Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Very cool bait! High hook up ratio and believe me, it looks so real in the water its going to creap you out! Its a fish catcher. Quote

Supermat- What size do you use? Do you catch lots of big fish and no small fish or what? I'm just curious; here in Michigan the bass don't grow so big, so I'm hesitant to use big baits... wickyman Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Just because you don't think they will get big, trust me, there are probably some whoppers out there! In fact, and I don't have a link anymore, I seen a nice large mouth in the 10ish lbs range... It was a beauty! And I am absolutely sure that there are much bigger in there... You just have to know how to find them! Confidence helps a lot when looking for larger fish, and when you use it to your advantage, you never know what you might catch! Quote
Supermat Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Kayl, I've got the medium size and no, I catch plenty of smaller bass. Don't worry about the bait being too big... those 1 and 2 lbers are a lot more aggressive than many people realize and at the right time they won't hesitate to swipe at baits that are even bigger than they are!
