No question here just gotta say that this winter I set up my transducer on my bow mount trolling motor and I love it. Vs where it was in the back of the boat before. The reading on my electronics, which is up on the front deck, pertains more to where I am fishing now. It had already helped me find fish on a ledge during pre-spawn

DId you adapt the transom transducer or purchase the proper trolling motor transducer for your installation?

I just jerry rigged it, I saved a lot of money that way. The readings are still great

You must not fish any water with shallow cover. Without any protection, your transducer is in a position to be the first thing to strike anything. You'll save money doing it your way, but likely end up having to replace it down the road.

There is a product that will give you trolling puck type attachment and protection from impact damage.

Check out Transducer Shield and Saver for the type that fits your transducer.
