Ok I just started making jigs in december I started on simple shakey heads. Now I have ventured into jigs and am overwhelmed!!!!! All the skirt colors and hook choices. I have a weedless football head mold that ranges from 1/4 to a half ounce, and a poison jig mold that ranges from 1/2 to 1 ounce. Can a forty strand fiber weed guard fit in the poison jig instead of the 30? And can someone please help me out on what color of skirting material to get to make just the basic watermelons black blues green pumpkin type skirts. :o :o :o :o I am so overwhelmed by everything!

If you have a 40 strand weedguard, it was meant for 5/32" base hole pin. It will not fit as is in a Poison Tail mold. Most of the molds take 1/8" base hole pins. Just take the 40 strand weedguard, and take some strands off of it and then stick it in the jig. As far as skirts go , go to fishingskirts.com and they have every color imaginable to make your color choice. If you need more help you can also PM me.

I have been hearing that from the girls I work with when I am on that site.  They keep making fun of my "skirts".
