I'm having some trouble with the mono on my bps pro qualifyer. I have it spooled with 14lb spider wire ultracast and the line seems to come off not Smooth and cause more backlash. Thought maybe had too much line so I took some off and that helped a little bit, but I didn't have this problem when I was using the same line in 12lb maybe the 14lb is to thick maybe a different line in 14lb would be better? Thanks

I don't think it's the line. It sounds like it's probably the reel settings aren't set correctly and is causing the problem.

Tuning a your baitcaster reel is an art form... I'm just saying. I've had issues after changing lines and lures. spend some time working on the reel and its settings before you give up. I bet you have some success.
