Hey all,

I was wondering what everyone's favorite tackle boxes are. I use three boxes mainly -

  1. A Flambeau box from Dick's - it's one that's about 2 or 3 inches deep, and it's super tough. It was about 12 dollars, but definitely worth it. It's got a back side what's covered in hinges, versus traditional tray boxes with hinges in 2 or 3 spots. It's got these cool 2-stage locks - they're about 4 inches long, and there are three of them. It's blue, my favorite color. Also, it's waterproof with Zerust. In case anyone was wondering, I use this box for frogs :)
  2. The Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier boxes - I like these because they're cheap, mostly. I think they're normally like 4 dollars, and on sale they're usually like 1 dollar. They are pretty tough, but they don't look too cool. I take out all the dividers in the 360 one and use it to store trick worms. One 360 box is the perfect size to hold 6 packs of trick worms. It's got 2 small latches, but they hold the box together pretty good. The thing I don't like is with a bit of awkward pressure, the hinges come undone. There are only 2 small hinges, too.
  3. The ones that come with the Spiderwire tackle bag - These are definitely interesting, and they're a good basic box for just anything, really. You can arrange the dividers practically any way you want, and you get a lot of storage out of the box. The latches are absolute crap, and the hinges are alright. I like how strong the plastic is, and the deeper, rounded corners are also pretty cool (they allow you to store more tackle). Another thing I like is the ruler on top of the box.

Well, that ends my post. Let's see what you guys like!

I have a bass pro bag that holds 7 3700 boxes. I have 5 3700 with cranks, jigs, and spinners, a 3600 of hooks, weights, etc.. and a gallon ziplock bag with my confidence worms and trailers in their origional bags. In the front pocket i keep my sissors, pliers, kvd line spray, and a digital scale.

Bass Mafia bait coffins. Never could spend the money on them, but I finally did and I am very impressed.

It's funny, I have a room in my house dedicated to fishing gear (enough gear to fill out a small tackle shop).

Yet, all I carry in the boat is one "Plano 1150 Bill Dance Tackle Box" (17'' x 12” x 5')

On rare instances when I can't find what I want, my wife usually has it in her big tackle bag.

I have a couple nice ones that were turned into tool boxes over the years when I wasn't fishing  :rolleyes7:

Now though I just use a backpack with a couple of those cheap clear box-trays.

And also fly boxes with foam strips...and some of those pill dispensers for holding weights and shot.

My floats get special treatment though and I have a nice little box for them.

I was using a BPS Extreme Qualifier 360 backpack with 5 360s and 4-5 ziplocks of plastics in their original packaging, but I was running out of space so a few days ago I ordered the Browning Top Loader which comes with 8x 370s and room to fit up to 10.

I am not trying to hijack the thread but I am also looking for a new bag. Right now I am using that camp Plano bag that hold 4 3700 boxes, I don't know what model it is. I only got it last year and it's ripped and just doesn't hold enough stuff for me. I am also kind of over the shoulder strap as it can suck to carry and the bag weighs quite a bit. I want to get a backpack but can't really seem to find any that hold much more that is a backpack without spending a good deal on it. I was looking at the BPS bags as they are reasonably priced.

Plano crappie bag with a 3500 or two at most. Most of the time it's a waist pack slung over my shoulder.

This is the bag I am using but it is poorly sewn together and had started to rip. I also need something bigger but want a backpack style. The main compartment came with 4 3750's but I really would like more.

If you're using a bag that holds 4 of the 3700 boxes, do yourself a favor and go buy yourself 5-6 of the 3701 boxes. I bet you'll they'll all fit in your same bag.

Ya but some of those boxes need that extra height. I wouldn't be able to change them all out. I want to get rid of that bag anyways for a backpack style. The divider on both sides pockets is ripped and just over the weekend the clear pocket on the lid of the main pocket ripped all the way down the side. It just got wasted super quick and I only picked it up at almost the end of the year.

I have all of my tackle in 3701 boxes and don't have anything that won't fit so far. Granted I don't have a huge collection either.

Holds 7-8 3701s and a Plano spinner bait tray.

I also have this bag

That Gander Mtn bag isn't bad. It actually holds 7 3700 boxes but it's $80. I am not sure if there is a backpack that actually holds more then 4 3700 boxes. I think I might have seen like every tackle bag ever looking. Well maybe some Wild River ones do or other bags that are like $150 or more.

But I did find the Okeechobee Fats Deluxe and o boy. It is crazy cheap and not only does it hold 8 3700 it also comes with them. They are cheap ones but its still nice to get them with the bag. Every review I have seen on it says they had it for years and it's a tank has never ripped and they love it.
