I want to get more into finesse fishing this year. What knot do you guys think is best for say 15-20# braid with a 6-8# fluoro leader? I should add I use the Alberto knot for heavier line. I figured you would have to wrap too many times on light line.

I'd give the Blood knot a whirl, and if you don't like that go with the Uni.

I tied an Alberto using 10# PP to 10# Sunine Super Natural using 7 wraps both ways last Saturday for panfish and it worked fine.

Blood knot is good but a carefully tied uni knot with some superglue on it will do the trick.

Knot Wars winners in the light line category were Alberto (Modified Albright), Uni-Uni and J-knot.   Try all 3 and see which you like best...all are strong ~

Alberto and J-Knot both work fine for what you are wanting to do, as does the Seaguar knot. I personally don't recommend the uni-uni, though many use it without issue. But any of the 3 mentioned will work well. I've used them all with much lighter line/leader connections than what you are proposing.

I used a uni knot on 65# braid with 20# P-Line leaded. It worked great but it was kinda big. a Pain in the butt.

FG knot works good.  Others with more experience may comment on its light line effectiveness.

I use the Alberto for everything from 10# braid to a 6# leader to 40# braid with a 15# leader. It never lets me down.

The FG knot does look interesting, but if the Alberto works fine, I'll probably stick with it.

Thanks everyone.
