I read a lot of stuff already, going to buy only one rod for all lures, at least for now. Im thinking about Abu Garcia hornet stinger with micro guides. Any tips? I dont have access to a lot of american rods coz of the price range, too expensive here in Japan.

There should be lots of good options for rods over there in Japan as there are reels. I would probably get a 3 powered rod about 7 foot in length with your typical 1/4 to 3/4 oz lure ratings. I am not too familiar with their rod lines in Japan like I am their reels. Hopefully another member will be able to help more.

The Tackle Trap just started carrying Jackson rods. A lot of people seem to really like the Trickster series. Seems like a lot of rod for the money.

Thank you guys for the fast replies and for the help. A japanese friend told me to buy the shimano expride or an used rod if in good shape. Im not sure about used rods tho, the expride is around 200$ at amazon.jp he told me another alternative is the abu garcia veritas, at the same price. Any ideas on that?
