ejtaylor822 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Another good "how to" from Larry Dahlberg tonight. Making a lure from RTV for the mold and super plastic. But, the most fascinating part was the end. Was talking about making lures and how we wanted us, the viewer to go and make lures that we wanted. He then stated that he left specific instructions for when he passes. He is to be cremated and the ashes are to be blended into and made into several kinds of lures - like he showed us. He then has specific instructions where each lure is to be fished and when. Once the fish is hooked, the lure is to be broken off. Thought that was kind of cool. Very fascinating, not for me, but fascinating. Eddie Quote
NEKvt Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I typically don't like the thought of a fish swimming around with my hardware in it's mouth. Hope stainless hooks are not in the instructions. You would probably get to fish some awesome spots if you were charged with carrying his plans out though. Quote

My wife wouldn't go for that so I want to be the guy who gets those instructions!! Quote
Big Al Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I also thought it was a good episode, I liked the rod balancing segment and his explanation of torque. I might have to try some RTV molding too because that turned out pretty slick. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Larry is awesome. I got to see some proto types he gave Robert for Brazil. 1 word. HUGE. Awesome Quote

DADto4 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I also saw the show and was blown away. He provides much needed insight to all. I was shocked to see his "shop" was that his basement? He had so many different tools and materials it all would be confusing to say the least. Quote
ToledoEF Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I love his show, bc of him I want to fish for peacocks lol! I want to get into making or at least painting blank bodies! Quote
tallydude Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Dahlberg is amazing. I saw the same episode. My wife couldn't believe what he wants to do with his remains. I thought it was cool. Quote
hawgchaser Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Larry has to be one of the best fishermen around today. He makes lures for each situation and they nearly always payoff. He is simply amazing!! Quote
