Bass Dude Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I am having a hell of time finding D2T---does anybody use anything else to attach the weedguards to their jigheads. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 any good 2 part epoxy will work. It doesnt have to be devcon. I hear super glue gel works but I dont use it. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 If you have a hobby store near you they often have a rebranded product made by bob smith plastics. works great. so does envirotex lite, which i get at my local Ace. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 you can't even find D2T at walmart? thats where i get it. its 1.97 at walmart, compared to 3 or 4 bucks at hardware stores. Quote
Bass Dude Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 No luck at Wal-Mart---went to three of them in my area. I heard on another site that Wal-Mart is going to stop selling the Devcon brand, so I assume this has already taken place here. So DSAAVEDRA, if you can still get it, I would stock up!!! All I could find was Loctite products---would these work?? Quote

I use Loc-Tite gel super glue, to glue in my weedguards. It has a tendency to wick up, and when it dries, it leaves a white chalky residue. But you can take an old toothbrush, and just brush it out. cadman Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Devcon at Wal-Mart is being replaced by Permatex. Devcon and Permatex are products of ITW. Click on this link, and if you put your zipcode in the upper right corner, it will tell you who carries it in your neighborhood.........Hope this helps. http://devcon.com/products/products.cfm?brandid=1 Quote

BIG M Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Loc-tite is the epoxy that Wal-marts around here are stocking now. Same with Lowe's and Home Depot. There is not a local retailer in Central Ark. that carries Devcon epoxy. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 well dang that sucks! i wonder why walmart would stop carrying devcon products? Quote
