nick_cooperr Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Hello, i want to upgrade my reel bearings with bocas but they are very expensive.. on ebay i saw that you can buy the spool bearing though for just 15 bucks...will that one bearing just make the difference in casting distance... I would think it would since thats the bearing the spool will be spinning on just wanted other peoples opinions on this. thank you! Quote

Super User rippin-lips Posted May 22, 2015 Super User Posted May 22, 2015 Bearing upgrades are not needed. Increased casting distance is not their primary benefit. Easier startup of the spool , and it will help with pitching and ease of casting. Having the reel properly cleaned first will be a better choice. Quote
