jmccown Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Anyone from Eastern TN able to give fishing report for these lakes? Thinking about taking a trip down to one of these lakes this weekend for a bass fishing trip. Wondering if bass are still on bed or if they've moved off. Any advice is much appreciated. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I live on Douglas lake but have not fished since March due to medical issues but I did go out in the pontoon boat this afternoon. The lake is about 2-3 feet from full pool and the surface water temp is 70* mid lake around point 8(Dandridge). Bass are probably in all stages now. The water has good color with visibility around 2 feet, again around point 8. The tournament season is in full swing with probably a dozen tournaments on Saturday, a few on Sunday and at least one every night except Sunday night. Have not been on Cherokee recently and never been on Boone. That's all I can tell you........Al Quote
Jed Cutshall Fishing Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 The fish on Douglas have already moved off the bed and out onto points. Caught bigger ones fishing ledges and points on main channel swings using medium diving crank baits. Quote

Went out on the pontoon boat today and looked at the temp and the reading was 78*, not 70* as I stated yesterday. Sorry for the mistake. The bass will be post spawn as reported by JRCfishing.........Al Quote
