So i went to local tackle shop, he has dobyns but is trying to be done with them due to nobody buying them. So i got a 685 cb for 160, pretty good deal i think for a champion. Last one he had, didnt have a big selection of reels so i got a lews something i forget. It was 99$ and i wasnt expecting much, but this reel is sweet for the money. Cast better then my old quantum energy 3s by a mile. Thats all i love these dobyns though

Dobyns not selling?  I'm far from an expert on fishing rods but I own 3 Dobyns and have had no issues with any of them.   Gd luck with your new rod and reel.

I don't think its an issue of not selling as more as not many people come in looking for a $ 250 fishing rod. I go to a smaller local fishing store they sell dobyns rods as well but they only keep the most sought after fishing

rods. Inventory will tie your money up quickly , so you try and keep something popular but something that moves and get your money back.

I've been wanting to get a 685cb. I have the 684cb, but I think the 5 would be better suited for larger squarebills and larger jerkbaits.

685 is ideal for 110s and larger
