Don't use spinning reels anymore but I know plenty of guys use 7&8lb on spinning gear with no problems. I prefer braid with fluoro leaders on spinning reels personally...

Good to know thanks

I prefer 7lb Sniper.  Used it a while ago and just liked it enough I've never wanted to switch.  Have a buddy who uses the invizx a lot and has a lot of weird break offs... still uses it haha which I don't know why but I'm a big fan of Sniper.  I've caught largemouth up to 11lbs on it, and spots up to 6.8, as well as a 15lb largemouth caught on my boat with it.  I believe it is thinner than the invisx in 6lb if I remember correctly.

I'm using P-Line CX now. The line does everything well. You may want to give it a try.

Invisx was an absolute nightmare and Seaguar owns up to nothing negative. I will never buy Seaguar line again nor will I endorse them positively in anyway. Bottom line is they took $100.00 from me and laughed all the way to the bank. They're line sucks and so does the company.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have plenty of confidence in sniper!

I'd like to try 16# Sniper.. I'll buy some this week.

Before I bought the Seajunk I was going to buy Sunline Reaction. They didn't offer 1000 yard spools so I passed. BIG mistake.

Won lunker yesterday cranking with 10# red label. Must've retied 50-60 times. Smfh lol

Question: how much more abrasion resistant is Shooter over Sniper. All treble baits except lipless I throw 10#. If I do bulk I'm not doing a bulk of both with sniper for jerkbaits and shooter for everything else. If it's much more abrasion resistant I may go shooter but if it's minimal I'll stick with sniper

I like Sunline and have had good results with Seaguar Invisx as well.  I can honestly say I have never had an issue with break-offs with Invisx or manageability over a number of years of use.  It does have a bit more stretch than I would like.  Like any line, you should check your line regularly for nicks and abrasion to avoid break-offs.

There are a lot of guys on here who like the Seaguar Invisx line so I was curious about the details of your issues with it.  Maybe I can learn something.  It is not the best fluoro for rocky environments, by the way.

I've been fishing for 50 years. Fished BASS in 80's and 90s in the North East. I'm no rookie. .... Brand new invisx line, second cast breaks off mid way.. over and over.. emailed Seaguar. they responded by telling me it was caused by a backlash. They blamed me for bad line. There are post all over forums about how bad invisx is.. I'll never invest in Seajunk line again.

There are as many guys who hate the stuff and been scr*wed with it as I have. They got the same response email I got.

I offered to send the line to them for evaluation. They ignored that........

Don't get me wrong I like the line(invizx) when I don't get a bad spool. The fact seaguar, as reported by me and countless others, does not as a company stand behind their product in the realm of manufacturers defects, is what sways everyone to other brands.

I did a line stretch test recently and it included both Invizx and Sniper in the test of 20 different lines (all 8 pound test lines).  By far Invizx stretched more than Sniper and it even broke twice during the test whereas Sniper did not.  It would be an easy decision for me personally to go with Sniper...

Thanks for the information.  I've never had to deal with their customer service.  Fortunately, I have not encountered any bad line with Seaguar . . . . yet.

16 is one of my favorites!  It's such a thin line it doesn't feel like you're fishing with a 15/16lb test line.  I use it a lot for my jigs in open water/rocky situations.  Also for things like chatterbaits, some squarebill cranks, spinnerbaits and a heavy dropshot in cover or around docks and grass!

That makes good sense.

I just bought my first spool of braid. I went with Sufix 832.. I like the feel of 16-17 so I opted for 65#. Hope I did the right thing. I'll be using it for pitching.

Seagaur lost my business....... Farcem!

I'm also an avid fan of seaguar invisix. I have never had a problem with it.

Me too, but bad spools and customer support that doesn't care wether or not their customers got screwed over isn't cool,
