boostr Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 What type, for 4"-5" soft swimbaits I.e. Sick Fish, Flukes with 1/4 oz swim bait hooks Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 13, 2015 Super User Posted May 13, 2015 Any MH/F will be fine. I like a rod around 7', but not too much more than 7-6. 1 Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted May 13, 2015 Super User Posted May 13, 2015 I use a 6'6" M/F Legend Xtreme for mine. I throw mostly 5" Cane Thumpers. 1 Quote
Cgrinder Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 You think 15lb Copoly would be to much. Nope. I use 15 lb CXX for 5" ish paddletails. You could certainly go less (or more), but I'll take the larger diameter when there's pike around... and there's always pike around. 1 Quote
UCPOPO Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I've been searching for a Swimbait Rod myself lately. I just picked up a 7'MH Ethos that appears to be perfect for a 4" Swimbait. It has a softer tip then most MH rods which is perfect. Landed several yesterday and it casted perfectly. I matched it with 15lb line and a Lew's BB1. 1 Quote
