I've been here a little while but didn't introduce myself yet. I live in the Midlands/piedmont of SC. After years of chasing small bass around a lake and trying to compete with better equipped, more dedicated bass fishermen, I mostly fish several local ponds from my kayak and occasionally go down the Wateree R to the Hwy 1 takeout. I have the run of a few places and a few more I can access by asking anytime. But I'm greedy and I always want to fish someplace new. I got the kayak to be able to fish alone or in a small group. Enough keeping up with the Jones'es.

My new favorite technique is wacky rigging. It seems where I fish, they've never seen it before. It even tricks the big 'uns. I'm, 43 and I want to catch bass till I can't cast a rod anymore.
