Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 Dead on GW. I think it was a combo of both. It was definitely one of "those" days but at the same time, a few of these baits really didn't even work the day before. The action was there but not the "wake" part. They would run juuuuust under the surface whereas my control bait, #16 would push water like no tomorrow. I was looking for something that does both. Moving the eye cured it. Quote
kayl. Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 LBH- What happened to the video? Pics look good! Quote
Super User cart7t Posted January 11, 2009 Super User Posted January 11, 2009 I just went to see the video and it says it was taken down due to copywrite laws. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 I just went to see the video and it says it was taken down due to copywrite laws. Because of the song I used : I'll try and put together another one w/o the music. As for the update,.......I have been getting pics back from the factory (of the patterns) and the samples look SWEET!!!!! It's now a question if they work right, lol Hoping to test the samples in Kentucky. Keep in mind, the factory I am using has never made fishing lures before but they are TOTALLY into it. The feedback and communication has been awesome and their attention to detail is amazing. I can't wait to show y'all!! One thing they are experimenting with, at my request, is a bullet proof finish. I made note to them that this is a big issue with the original slammers, after merely an hour with my last one, the finish was already falling off and not just where the hooks rub. For 50 bucks???? Can't have any of that. FYI- The first run will be a 9" slammer knock availabvle in LM Bass, Rainbow Trout, Pickerel and Yellow Perch, the 4 main Northeast colors. Second run will be the #16 rat as seen in many of my pics and vids. Quote
FishingBuds Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Thats cool LBH, just caught up with it all myself, cool again Quote
bmadd Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Hey LBH. When you made yours, did your lures require much ballast weight? Quote
bmadd Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Yea I knew they were wakes. I knew they wouldn't require much if any at all. Just wanted to ask. I'm still very excited about seeing the baby bass version man. Don't keep us waiting till April! Quote
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Nice work Russ!!!!!!! Can't wait for spring Though, I may be @ my timeshare in Florida the 1st week of March.
