i have tried a few types, stren, power pro, power pro super slick, suffix 832 and recently seagar kanzen.  Out of those the only ones i didn't like were the stren and the suffix.  I like the power pro super slick a lot more than the original and i picked up the seagar chanson this past weekend because they were out of the super slick and so far i am impressed with it on my spinning set up.

I alms tried the bass pro house brand braid but the price wasn't as much of a difference to warrant me trying it.

Powerpro, sunline fx2 and smackdown.

Prefer smackdown as it's smooth and quiet. Expensive though but braid lasts forever. Wish sunline would make a smooth 8 carrier braid.

Well guys, this is what 832 does to me:

Maybe I got a bad batch..?  It's almost like it came pre-twisted or something.

I'm really digging this Suffix Performance.  The 832 is just... I don't know.  No matter how much/long I fished it, it just went right back to coiling up like that.

I'm trying all the lines locally before ordering any.  Next up is Power Pro -- it's available locally as well.

The only reason I started with Spiderwire is that it's what was available (for $50!) before I got out of fishing for a bit.

Anyone know why the 832 would act like that, though?  I mean, I do like the stuff.  I want to like it more.  The coiling on a line I count on to have no memory, however, is just not acceptable.  If I need no memory, then I expect it to have no memory.

I'm gonna make the switch to braid. I've never been a fan of it, but I'm tired of dealing with mono. I guess I'll try some 20 or 30 pound Spider Wire.

Have my Core50 lined-up with 30# Smackdown going to try it for the first time tomorrow. The whole 150yards fit with a little room to spare. I dont use leaders, tie direct, when spool gets too low add backing and reverse line. Its replacing PPS8S so will get to notice any differences good or bad.
