Yesterday I caught my new personal best smallie.  She's a 21 inch 4lb 1oz monster of a susquehanna river smallmouth.  Caught her on a texas rigged bass pro stick-o in green pumpkin/black fleck.  After the hookset i knew i had something good then it ran up to the top of the water and i seen that it was a giant.

Very nice! Congratulations on your PB! Be careful certain parts of the Susquehanna River are closed to bass fishing this time of year.

the area of the susquehanna that is closed is far south of me. im still so stoked about catching that smallie. they do get bigger than that in the susquehanna but you never really see it.

Nice fish, but those pictures are hard to look at, IMO. There is debris all over that fish from it lying and flopping on the ground. I just hate to see trophy-sized fish killed.

Personally, I would never jeopardize any smallmouth just so I could get a picture. If i'm not prepared to grab a quick pic and let her back in the water quickly, then there simply won't be a pic taken. It's not worth it. You're mileage may obv vary.

Just my opinion, and again, nice fish
