Bow Mount Trolling Motor On Vhull

Any body got any idea how to mount a minn kota edge trolling motor 42'' on a 12 foot v-hull?

I've got one on my 16' v-hull.  There are 4 aluminum angle-iron (I guess they are really angle-aluminum) brackets about 4" long attached to the hull about 1 inch below the gunwale.  A piece of plywood covered in carpet is fastened to these brackets with screws to hold the ply even with the top of the boat.  Then the trolling motor is mounted to that.

Thats the same way I mounted mine on a 14 ft V hull, plywood attached the upper "V",  put a piece of plywood on the floor to mount the foot control. I also had an edge. WORD OF WARNING---DO NOT USE TREATED PLYWOOD AGAINST ALUMINUM!!!!!!. The treated wood will react with the aluminum when wet and eat holes in your boat. If your boat sits out in the weather and your worried about rot, spring for marine plywood.

I just made a deck the shape of the bow out of 3/4 plywood.  I drilled through the gunwales and fastened it with stainless bolts. I also ended up making a recess for the foot pedal too.

i don't have that model minn kota, mines the powerdrive v2.  but i had a welder weld aluminum c channel on the front V of the boat, then i just bolt the trolling motor on the the c channel.  very solid mouting this way.
