bayfisher Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I hit a lag in my catches lately and im assured the crank bait im using is good enough. However, it seems things have slowed with catches and im befuddled of what may be going on. Do I need to spend more hours, or do I need to relocate to another part of the lake and try my luck. Last year I could walk, this year is hilarious fishing from a wheelchair. I use to think I was the best bass man around, but im assured Im not now. ANY tips in short to help out would be great. The prespawn was good, but its has changed and I cant figure it out. is it the sun, heat? Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted May 8, 2015 Super User Posted May 8, 2015 Not likely heat -yet. Probably post-spawn. You'll probably need to slow things down as post-spawn fish are often less willing to chase. Also, depending on water body size, many could have moved away from shorelines. Might need to move away from shorelines, or find smaller water bodies. Is the wheelchair a permanent thing? Boat? Shore? Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted May 8, 2015 Super User Posted May 8, 2015 Try fishing some points if your lake has some that you can get to. Bass will go to back ( post spawn ) to where they where staging for the pre-spawn. 1 Quote
DocNsanE Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Sounds like you are only using one crank bait? If so, it's time to switch things up. What kind of water are you fishing? Is it shallow, deep, muddy, clear, rocky, weedy, etc? Quote
