livemusic Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 A buddy has these two for sale, never used... Dobbins SS 663 C and SS 703 C rods. These are both MH/Fast and the first is 6.5' and the second is 7' length. If I can buy for a good price... hmmm... Do you know of them, what type fishing would they be good for? I don't know much about rods at all, what makes this rod a good one? They cost $160 and $170 new. Quote
tbone1993 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 703 is a good all around spinnerbait/ chatterbait rod. IMO the champion line up is far superior to the saavy lineup. That being said for moving baits the saavys work just fine. How much is he asking for them? Quote
Arv Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 If you need them, buy them. If you don't need them and the monkey is with you, buy them. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted May 7, 2015 Super User Posted May 7, 2015 Buy the 703 for $75. Fish it for a little while and see what you think. If you like it and want another similar rod buy the other one. Many are split on here over the sensitivity of the savvy series. I don't think they are all that bad myself. They are sharp looking and balanced rods backed by a company with great customer service and owners. Quote
