Hey guys as most of you know I own a shimano curado B and after using it for while I have found that this is a tank of a reel.l am in the process of putting a flippin' and pitchin' combo together  and I would like to use that reel.  so my question is are there any high speed gear sets available for the curado B?  would 7:1 gears from a curado E work?  if not I guess I have an excuse to get a new reel! :eyebrows:   thanks.

Or just flip and pitch with a reel that isn't 7:1, like others have done for 40+ years.

I'm still using my old 6.2:1 Castaic's, even though I have a lot of newer reels.   Still like that original InstaGage design for short distance presentations!

I used the Curado B's for pitching for several years, still own some of them and they still perform excellent. You don't need a high speed ratio since there's normally very little actual reeling involved.
