Hurricane Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 That must have taken you 3 months to think of..could be worse we could have lost the super bowl. All of those super bowl wins are tainted. .
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted May 16, 2015 Super User Posted May 16, 2015 On a related note, it would be cool if there were some cheat we could use to catch more bass... There is. This.
Super User deaknh03 Posted May 16, 2015 Super User Posted May 16, 2015 All of those super bowl wins are tainted. . In your mind..all 4 of the bills bowls are tainted as well..by a loss. 1
Hurricane Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 In your mind..all 4 of the bills bowls are tainted as well..by a loss. Maybe if the Bills cheated like your team did we could of at least won a couple. . 2

RSM789 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I have much more respect for a team like the Bills, who went to an unmatched 4 Super Bowls in a row or the Minnesota Vikings who went to 4 Super Bowls in 8 years, than a team that has been shown to cheat time & again in order to try to gain a competitive advantage. The fact that the Patriots didn't even need to cheat in that game against the Colts, that they were clearly the better team & could have easily won straight up, shows how cheating is now ingrained in that teams DNA. It also tells quite a bit about those fans who "stand up" for them, acting like battered wives who say that their abusive husband is really a nice guy who means well. Be a fan for your hometown team, but for heavens sake, when it is run by or hires individuals who tarnish it's reputation, separate the two. 2
EvanT123 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Domestic violence, murders, rapes, suicides, concussions, and drug abuse. The biggest problem in the NFL is soft balls?
Super User FishTank Posted May 17, 2015 Super User Posted May 17, 2015 Domestic violence, murders, rapes, suicides, concussions, and drug abuse. The biggest problem in the NFL is soft balls? The biggest problem is integrity and the NFLPA. It's seems no matter what it is, you mess up, you get punished, and then you get to file an appeal that will more than likely result in a reduction in punishment or none at all. This leads to no accountability. Players have done some really bad things, though outside of work, that have damaged the leagues image and no team is immune. Maybe deflated footballs is a way to open the gates a little and have the commissioner assert himself with the NFLPA. We will see what happens... Here is another rumor I have heard on this..... There maybe another report that Wells is working on involving other allegations against the Patriots. Sort an ace in the hole for the commissioner if he needs it. Again just a rumor.....
RSM789 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Domestic violence, murders, rapes, suicides, concussions, and drug abuse. The biggest problem in the NFL is soft balls? I don't believe anyone has said it is the biggest problem. It has gotten a lot of attention compared to those other issues because of who it involved, their history of cheating, the denials in face of the obvious and a rash of partisan folks who are trying to defend them by comparing the infraction to other issues. If Brady had manned up, told the truth ("I had asked for the balls to be prepared this way, I didn't realize it broke the rules, my mistake"), accepted his penalty and the fans of the team scolded the ownership for bring this tarnish upon their hometown team (instead of being apologists for them), the story would have died quickly. When you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging. 1

I could do a google search and find quite a few examples that might be a little worse than PSI but I'll be good and leave this thread now. On second thought I have been having an ongoing discussion with my father about hall of game caliper baseball players of the past 10-15 years. His prediction is we will see more pitchers than hitters admitted due to the PED's. so no sport is without it's cheaters. This sounds like a bunch of sore losers to me though.
Super User Jrob78 Posted May 17, 2015 Super User Posted May 17, 2015 The biggest problem with the NFL right now is the commissioner. How can anyone else be fairly held accountable for anything when the leader of the league isn't?
shanksmare Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I have much more respect for a team like the Bills, who went to an unmatched 4 Super Bowls in a row or the Minnesota Vikings who went to 4 Super Bowls in 8 years, than a team that has been shown to cheat time & again in order to try to gain a competitive advantage. Be a fan for your hometown team, but for heavens sake, when it is run by or hires individuals who tarnish it's reputation, separate the two. Maybe you should try looking at a site called "Your Team Cheats". It gives you the number of time each team has been caught cheating and what the infractions really were. Take for example Spygaye. There is much misinformation about what it actually involved. It was not what was done ... but where in the stadium it was done. I'm not quite sure how much of an advantage one location is over another but ... Funny the "cheating Patriots" were only ranked as middle of the road cheaters by this site. They acheived a ranking of 25. How did other teams fair? Well the squeeky clean SF 49ers got a 31, Baltiumnore 35, Pittsburg 46, Denver 49, NY Giants 35, NY Jets 40. oh ya Seattle 25. Wells certainly has a great deal of credibility. He defended the Tobacco industry claiming second hand smoke is not harmfulk to you. And he had all the evidence to prove it. We all know how well that theory turned out. His investigation of Richie Incognito seemed to follow his usual pattern. He made his conclusion rior to the investigation. He then picked info fom the investigation to support this conclusion. He chose to ignore the info which did not support the conclusion. As some have previously stated one of the biggest problems in the NFL is Roger Goodell!
rboat Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I don't think Belicheat should get out of this squeeky clean. Even if he didn't know about it, as head coach he is responsible for his players actions pertaining to the game and also responsible to the Patsies organization to uphold the NFL's rules, morals, ethics and standards. If a team does not have a good season, who is the first person fired? ---- The head coach. He is responsible to see the team perform well, by the rules of the game.
Super User SirSnookalot Posted May 18, 2015 Super User Posted May 18, 2015 Interesting to read some of the comments, why some haven't been deleted is a mystery to me. I personally favor any political conversations, it is against policy so I'm not going there. Getting back to the issue, after 11 pages I've lost interest. The final outcome isn't going to affect my life one way or the other..............Go Lions !! 3
