Here's a pic (sorry camera phone quality) of one I caught today on a Culprit Grape Firetail worm. Does anyone else fish these worms? If so, what colors work best in stained and clear water? BTW...today's catch was in stained water.

Culprits are a favorite of mine, Black Shad is the best color IMHO. Along with Red Shad and Motor oil you can fish any water anywhere. I like the motor oil color in clear water, black & red shad in stained. JMHO

can't go wrong with red shad anything where I live. the 10 inch culprit in red shad is the ticket right now.

My favorite culprit pattern, like Ronnie, is also Black Shad.

Because it incorporates both a dark and light color

I'm confident with black shad in any water clarity. I also use red shad.

My wife likes "Fire & Ice" and often outfishes me :)

Thanks for all of the great info guys!  I already picked up a crawdad and fire and ice colors.  I would have picked up more but that's the only ones they had at the store that were listed here.  Thanks again everyone!

I am with Alpster. After 35 years of chasing bass I have to say a red shad and black shad are two of the best, hands down. I only carry six color worms anymore. Culprit Red Shad, Black Shad, Blueberry Tassel Tails and Blue Fleck Power Bait Worms along with Green pumpkin Trick worms. I also carry Wasp pencil worms in Green Pumpkin. Thats all I need personally.

My go to worm is the 10 inch Blueberry, I also like the Blue flake Moccasin and the old clear Ice Blue that they dont make anymore, also the two tone Ice Blue with a milky blue pearlescent bottom half was a favortie until my dads tournament supply ran out.

I really wish Culprit would bring those two colors back...

I don't know of the availability in my area, but I have heard that many anglers prefer the motor oil color, in many conditions!  I just bought a spinner, and buzzer by culprit, and they seem really good!  I have only just tossed out the spinner this afternoon, but I was just messing around.  It works very well!  :)

I need to get some of these, they look pretty cool, and they are cheap, which is all the better!  Much more money for terminal tackle!  :)

I like the black shad and watermelon green gold in that order.

I have not fished them in stained water but the clearwater colors that I like are watermelon, pumpkin and crawfish. Im not sure if they still make the crawfish color though. Hope so, Im getting low. Also, I like junebug after dark.

Been fishing these worms for 2 decades and you can't beat a Culprit worm with the color options. I fish a lot of black, stained water in North Carolina and I kill the bass with the Grape/Red Tail, Fire and Ice and any combination of a dark color and Red or Chartreuse tail.

To add to an already great worm I dip the tails in Spike-It red or chartreuse and the tails glow even more in the stained black water. It is pretty common to fish up 2 bags or more in a day when I hit my "private water".

Junebug, Red shad, Black (10 in), watermelon redflake shad (silver bottom)  I have had alot of luck with the last in clear water with dark bottom lakes!

Tight lines!!
