HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I've been trying to figure out how to dye/chnage color patterns on a 6" Huddleston, but having one heck of a time with longevity on the color. Not looking for something like Spike-it. Trying to add specific detail. I been told they are hand painted, which sounds weird to me. I would think they're dyed. Any help would be greatly apprciated. Thank you for your time! Quote
BestNetManAround Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 been trying to find out the same thing Paul if I find anything I'll let you know Quote
whittler Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Not completely certain but I think Lurecraft makes a paint for soft plastics that is airbrushed or hand painted on. Quote
Bantam1 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I use it to add dots to my Hudd trout and when I made some bass patterns. It holds up very well and is easy to use. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 30, 2008 Super User Posted December 30, 2008 Sharpies tend to bleed through and spread out on these, leaving little or no detail. Use the soft plastic paints mentioned above. They will last longer and stay more "focused" in the area intended. Quote
