Rcoleman556 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Went fishing today for smallmouths in the creek that runs through my town. These two where the best sizes here, Gotta love catching them, shore fishing has some good fishing sometimes lol. Three more after these two also, none under 3 pounds. Anyone else here enjoy creek fishing? Sometimes it's pretty nice and relaxing, especially when you don't have a boat. (Also not a professional photographer my any means.) Quote
Frenchman83 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I really enjoy fishing small creeks. Very relaxing. Although I have never had results that good! What where they hitting on? Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted May 4, 2015 Super User Posted May 4, 2015 Those are studs! I love fishing small water for smallies but only one out of every 50 or so will break 3lbs where I fish Quote
Steveo-1969 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Great fish! I fish a river not a creek, but I love catching the brown fish. I'm shorebound much of the year myself but when the water is low enough to safely wade I'm standing in the middle of the river instead of on the bank. That's my escape, I'd rather wade than fish from a boat. And I'm jealous, I only catch 1-2 3# smallies a year. Most of mine average about 12 inches. Quote
