Dead horse beater here,

Looking for a spinning setup for stull like drop shot, senko, finesse worms, etc.  I am looking at a few rods like the powell Diesel, Duckett Micro Magic, Phenix Maxim, etc.

Whats your guys' advice here?

The BPS Extreme and Bionic Blade rods are good options, as are the Abu Veritas Series. For reels, all I use are pflueger presidents. They are better than many reels that cost twice as much.

well I guess the reel is set in stone.

President matched with a Shimano Sellus.  Less than $100 and you have a very nice set up that I've caught many many LMB's on and will throw lighter stuff very nicely.

Thanks guys.  I guess I will head to sportsmans warehouse later today and see what I can find.

Ended up getting a phenix maxium medium light 6'10" feels light to me but I'm so used to med heavy and heavy casting stuff lol. What do you guys think about them?

I don't know anything about Phenix but medium light is my favorite power for spinning. You would be suprised at what they can handle. Enjoy the new rod!!!
