The problem with a hole that size is they're usually overstocked with bass under a pound. But they're hungry and dumb because they outnumber the bait. If it's alright with the owner, someone should take as many as they can for a while to thin the herd. Small bass from clean water are good eating. Quote

Maybe the man that created the pond just isn't sure what it was stocked with. I know of some guys that will. At h fish from a local lake and bring them back and release them in a few of the ponds they fish.. Quote

Even if they don't bite it, you're likely to see a big girl follow it up, simultaneously giving away her hiding spot. Quote
