Brnnoser6983 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 So my battery had finally given out on me. I'm looking for a new battery that is a do all. It has to start my 9.9. I also use it to run my 30lb trolling motor and fish finder. I think it says my engine need 320 - 450ish CCA. Can anyone suggest a good brand battery that they have used and trust? Quote
Robeng Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Deka by east penn. You might want to consider separating starting battery from trolling motor which equals a second deep cycle battery for trolling motor. Quote
Super User Way2slow Posted May 2, 2015 Super User Posted May 2, 2015 Deka. Using it to run the TM, I would go with the Marine Master DC27. http://www.eastpennmanufacturing.com/wp-content/uploads/Marine-Master-Spec-Sheet-0194.pdf It is a true deep cycle but since you are only cranking a 9.9, it will have more than enough amps to crank that motor. Just shop around, they are excellent batteries and if taken care of, have very good life span, but you will see huge differences in what different retailers want for them. If you happen to have a Deka warehouse near you, a lot of times that's the cheapest place to buy them. They also give excellent prices for your old batteries. Quote
