Matthew2000 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Are these any good for bass fishing ? Has anyone ever used them? I'm thinking about putting a small paddle tail or grub on the back. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Used them for walleye, they excel at a slow troll bottom bounce technic, might work for Bass. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 29, 2015 Super User Posted April 29, 2015 Several years back, the Erie Dearie was a very popular trolling lure for walleyes on Lake Erie. I'm not aware of anyone using them for bass, but I'm sure they'd work (nothing a bass won't hit). Roger 1 Quote
Matthew2000 Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 I've used them for walleye before just wondering about bass. Especially deep I want to try and target some big girls deep, and I have a ton of these things and had an idea. 1 Quote
hatrix Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 They still get used but they tip them with nightcrawlers. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted April 29, 2015 Super User Posted April 29, 2015 I use these a bunch for walleye. They got bought out by another company a few years ago and have been discontinued. I have since been buying them up whenever I find ones that I like for sale online. I can't imagine that a bass wouldn't hit one though. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 29, 2015 Super User Posted April 29, 2015 What makes you think the big bass are deep? A little tip…back at the ramp, complain out loud near walleye guys about catching bass. Look for sympathy. They will commiserate in your misfortune and probably give up a couple deep bass locations. Otherwise, that's a tight lipped crowd. 1 Quote

I know some are shallow but I also know some are down in the deps lurking. Good idea with that complaing. Quote
Matthew2000 Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 Define deep. Like 20+ feet for bass Quote
