Good afternoon! This is probably going to seem a little strange but I was wondering if you guys could help me.

Many, many years ago I bought a couple of spinnerbaits off a tree sitting on the counter of my local bait shop(Alexander City, AL), and they are the best ones I've ever owned.

Of course by now, over a decade later, the shop has changed hands several times and I have no real way of tracking down where these baits came from.

They aren't branded in any way which is why I'm having an issue figuring it out, but the head shape is pretty distinct. The arm is titanium, all the hardware is really top notch stuff. You can flick the blade and it'll spin for days.

In the years since I bought these I've moved up north and honestly I'm afraid to even throw them because I don't want to lose 'em to a northern pike. Anyway, any help y'all could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Could it be a Terminator?  I don't know how old the company is, but they have titanium arms and oddly shaped heads on their modern baits.

Nope, not a Terminator. I wish it were that easy. It was hanging on one of those wooden kind of spinnerbait stands on the counter, where you normally find the really cheaply made bargain ones. I'm a little afraid that it was just some local guy selling them on consignment at the shop and I'll never find them again...

I was in Alexander City fishing on Lake Martin last week. What is the name of the store?

I'll tell you what, if you really really want them, make them, or have someone make them for you.  Make a mold, pour the lead, use the hooks you prefer, powder coat the head in the colors you choose, throw on your favorite blades, and a skirt.  Making your own lures is pretty easy, fun, and highly rewarding.  You can use them all the time and not have to worry about losing them, you'll have an infinite supply of them  Go to Makelure.com for the mold making materials and instructions, and Jannsnetcraft for the hardware (hooks, wire, swivels, powder coating, eyes, skirts, beads, and clevices).  You never know you might even be able to sell them eventually.

Last I heard it was called Fish Tales, but I'm not totally sure what the name of the store is now. It's on Hwy 280 ~2 miles before bridge by River North Marina. I'll throw in a map https://goo.gl/maps/3p52b (south side of the road).

I think you are correct, most lures displayed on those type of stands are home made.

I saw that style in BP or Cabela's recently. Take a ride to your local stores and have a look.

It looks similar to a Swampers. spinnerbait. If you bought a long time ago they may have changed the head design a little.

Thanks for everyone's replies on this. I finally got a hold of the guy at the bait shop and he has no clue. I guess I'll have to investigate making my own... maybe.

Savage Gear makes a Ti spinnerbait with a very similar head.

Another you might look at is either the Davis X-Wire or the Davis Fatboy Spinnerbaits from Coose Tackle (find them online). Not exactly the same as the one you pictured, but pretty darn close, from the same area, and very top notch...
