On another note: I bought a 1000 yard spool of Seguar Invisx.

Here's my take on the line. It casts well... Then it breaks at some point other that at the knot. Over and over and over again.

I emailed Seagaur in NY about the problem. Here's what they said: "It's your fault. You're either using a line that is to lite for your rod or you back lashed it and kinked the line".

Each time this happened over and over again it was new line on the reel spool. I kept changing it out hoping I could get by the bad line.

In short: Seaguar Invisx is Junk and the Company Blows.

Can you PM me the email address for them I couldn't find it.

$80.00 down the drain. So here's my plan. I'm going to video tape a Vikings Funeral.. First the pile of Junk, then the lighter fluid, then the match. I'll post it in a couple days!

Let's sea some Invisx up in flames! Bring the "marsh mellows"

I don't get this. I have backlashed plenty of times (just like everyone else here) and had some really bad ones. After picking them out, I have not one time had a kink cause my line to break. I think it's a copout for manufacturers IMO. Some others here may have had this cause their line to break but I haven't. I have hear of quite a few people getting bad bulk spools of Invizx tho...

I used P-Line Floroclear 15# today on two of my reels. I had zero issues and it casts great.
I'm sticking with it. I also want to try the CX line,

Made in Japan and fairly priced.

Another Tournament pro on the way.. This one will be a 6:4:1 my other TP is a 7:1:1, Which gearing do you prefer for worming and jigging?

Posted

I prefer 7.1 for jig/worm and 6.4 for moving baits in general.

I agree, I'm going to use the 6:4:1 on a spinner bait rod.

That sucks. I seem to be stuck on Stren Mono. Haven't broken any line off on a fish...just badly hung-up lures. I'm running 12# on my Team and Team Pro, and 14# on my Team Lite.

I used Stren and Trilene for years. I find myself in the middle of all the line hype and got a good one right in the gazzoo!

I'm using P-Line right now. I fished today and realized It's a good line but it doesn't give the feedback that the Flouro will. I'm going to try Sunline or P-Line Flouro next. It does make a positive difference.
