No such thing as "traditional down Imaging"

Traditional sonar is 2D.

You have to purchase either a HDI transducer or a LSS transducer to get Down Scan.

Those units are 2D out of the box if you purchase one with a transducer, either 50/200 kHz or 83/200 kHz.

I have the LSS2 transducer and the unit has built in structure scan.!!

But do I need that specific transducer in order to even get the option on my unit? Because I don't see any icon stating that my unit is even compatible to that option. And I appreciate your response, you're helping me very much!

so you have the hds and lss2 modules but no down imaging? Sounds like a setting is off. I would look in the settings and see if down is turned off. It seems like i had to turn it on when i got my lowrance. I cant say for sure since it was several years ago now.

I have an hds7 w/lss1 and i have down and side imaging. I can only run 3 screens at once on mine but when searching its sonar and down imaging split on top and side on bottom full width onnscreen.

I found the issue... The down imaging feature is under the structure tab on the home screen. Also there is a option to switch from left, right, or down... Obviously down is what I want. Thanks for everyone's help though!!!
