C0lt Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Searching around the forums, haven't found anything on this boat. Any one have any experience? I was hoping to pick one of these up with summer, get an old john boat trailer, a small out board and a trolling motor. I have a few concerns though, the front deck looks almost too small to put a foot control on, and their looks like there's a large rectangular hollow spot under the back deck;I was hoping to build a plywood rod locker that would go into that space and open up into the middle of the boat. Any experiences, knowledge or tips would be helpful. Quote
zachb34 Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I owned a bass tender 11.3. Its the same boat minus carpet for the most part.the deck has a lot of space for a 12 foot boat. There is space for a foot control but I would get one that used a clamp mount, due to the possibility of screws or bolts wiggling out of the plastic if you don't pop off the top half amd bolt it right. Amazon also sells a mount for $60 to use a normal footcontrol. The hollow spot under the back deck is for a gas tank and/or a battery. It is also vented in the center right up against the transom. The boat is very stable I believe the inside floor is just at 48" and a little wider outside the boat. The tri hull design handles rough water pretty well for a small boat. Quote
C0lt Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 does the hollow spot in the deck go all the way to the front of the hull? Quote

Im sorry, I meant to ask; does the hollow space under the deck go all the way to the stern? Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 28, 2015 Super User Posted April 28, 2015 As far as a trolling motor, Motorguide makes the Bulldog series that has the clamp on mount but still has the foot control. You could do that with the hollow spot, but I don't think it'd be the best use of space since that area is designed to hold your batteries. I never had the 120, but I had a Bass Tender 10.2 which is the size smaller than this. It was a sweet little boat. Quote

SFL BassHunter Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I'm looking into these as well. You get a lot for the money. 60" beam, up to 15 hp, a ton of storage, livewell, seats, decks, prewired, lights, and 600+ lbs weight capacity and rod holders. Its stacked lol. BUT its plastic. A few reviews stated they had leaks out of the box. That scared me a bit and has made me look at other boats (aluminum, fiberglass). But this one is still on my list. My dilema is looking for something cheap, with a good weight capacity, that I can easily tow with my mustang gt and will last a decent amount of time. Not really to many options for me once I factor in all of the things that WONT work for me lol. I do wish they had one in 14ft that would be optimal! Quote
