i'm looking around for rod rapper rollers, I have been looking at a wrapper made like ejtaylor822 showed me and reelmach's in his forum but I want to consider looking at the rollers also instead of V-notches.

I've seen one price by flexcoat that was $7.95 a wheel :o but is there anything else to sub in place of it or is there a better price for some somplace else?

Yep Thanks, I finally came across that, that guy has a rod wrapper I'm intrested in, I'm thinking if I get it I'd at least be ahead on that cause I have no clue on building a rod wrapper that will work, you know one set up with the stringe guids and tension.

Oh I can build a basic one but, I do want something good and I'll be glad I got it.

I don't know yet

Hey,

I've thinking about rollers as well.  I found something that might work in Lowe's.  THe plastic wheels used in sliding closet doors, sliding patio doors and bathtub enclusre doors.  They are 3/4" to 1 1/2" dia.  Slide a tight rubber band over them, or other (inner tube, plastic tubing, etc.) and will have a nice surface.

Now having said that, for me, I would only use the rollers for turning/finishin for a lathe setup.  When wrapping guides I would not want to have rod turning that easy.  A little tension is good for the wraps and they won't unwind if you take your hand away.

But, that's just me.....

I didn't think of rollers for doors, we make Patio doors at work so i"ll have to take a closer look at the hardware, I'm thinking the screen rollers could work, I'll let ya know
