This past summer I fished almost everyday.  The amount of soft plastic worms I was going through either as trailers or t-rigged was crazy..... I am 18 I have colleg next year so I could not afford this AT ALL.  It got to teh point where I was using beat up worms that would not catch a stump none to less a bass.  So I started pouring my own.  My originally plan was to just use them when I went out everyday but in tourneys I would still use store bought ones.  Well that all changed..... I have experinced extreme success with in them.  In fact I caught my PB a 6-11 fishing one of my homemade plastics.

There are obviously some times I will use ones I buy in a tournamnet if I want a certain design or color but if I just want a power I will use mine.

Do you guys use your homemade ones in a tournamnet or what are your thoughts about that?

I'm pouring all my craws, ribbed worms, Senkos, paddle tails, finesse worms etc.. I like the ability to change my plastics formulation, soft to hard, and to make color twerks. I feel my baits are as good or better than anything I can buy, in the styles I shoot, because of that reason.  Brian.

I use whatever catches fish in tournaments. I have a lot of confidence in the plastics I pour but if I don't have what the fish want I just switch out. That being said I might be a little stubborn about switching to ones I don't make.

I make my own baits because I didn't like what I could find in stores. Now I don't even own a store bought bait that I can make myself. I've won tournaments with them and plan to continue to do so :)

That is what I think is the best way, in the end you have to do what the fish want.

I've Been Thinking Of Making My Own As Well , I Had Someone Making My Soft Plastic's , But They No Longer Pour.

I Just Don't Think Any Plastic Bait Like Worms / Craws / Grubs / Trailers Are Worth .55 Cents or More Per Bait.  When You Break It Down Per Pack.
