I'm looking to pick up a 9mm and have narrowed my choices down to these two. I'm not happy with the triggers on either, so I plan on getting them changed out. I think either could double as a carry, but I'm purchasing mostly for range use. I've held and fired both of these at my club and they feel and shoot excellent.

Anyone have any negative experiences with either?

M&P with a custom trigger.  My wife loves hers.

it all boils down to which fits better in your hand.  Don't take anyone's word for it.

I have never owned a M&P 9mm but I have shot them at the range. I have had a G19 for years too. I don't think you can go wrong with either but there are a lot more aftermarket parts at better prices for the Glock.

I'm a M&P fan, own the full size 9 and the 45c.

While not a glock fan, I have enough LEO friends (and my wife) that trust them with their lives to feel sure that you really can't go wrong with either. If you can shoot both it would be a great advantage but even handling both in a store, side by side, should allow you to "feel" which one fits you better.

Shoot, shoot, shoot then shoot some more.

So I couldn't decide between the two, so I got both. The M&P will get an Apex trigger along with a couple of 'little' extras and the Glock will get a Zev trigger and possibly some cuts in the slide to reduce weight. I decided on the Glock as my carry although I'm sure my trusty 642 will still see some summertime pitch hitting.

I love my glock19 and compete with it in IDPA.

It's easy and cheap to change out the connector and springs to light up and smooth out the trigger.

A lot cheaper than buying an aftermarket kit.

The Glock19 is the do it all pistol.  Can't go wrong.

I finally got a Shield 9 mm. I have not had a chance to put any rounds through it but it was a pretty good deal and to good to pass up. I'm waiting on my Kydex holster. The guy that makes them is out of town and it will probably be the end of next week before its ready.

My 19 is a Gen4 so it came with the assortment of back straps. I really like that beaver tail, though I didn't think I would. The trigger is set at 5.5lb. which took a little getting used to and I ended up switching out the sights. I'm also getting used to carrying it, but it's only going to see limited duty as such.  The M&P is a dream to shoot now. I just wish there were more competitions I could enter with it.  It's trigger breaks at 3.5lb. with much less take up and a shorter reset.  Well worth the investment.  Looks like I'll be doing a bunch of reloading during the cold weather. I already have 600 pcs. of brass.
