OTR366 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Hello Bass Resource, I'm new to bass fishing despite spending most of my 49 years trout fishing in the California Sierra Mountains. I'm not sure why it took me this long to get hooked on bass fishing but recently I needed an outdoor activity in between hunting seasons. My first time out last month with my two sons shore fishing on nearby Lake Casitas, I managed to catch a 3 plus pound largemouth with a drop shot rig and a worm. I'm hooked!! My last several outings have been no were near as exciting because the fish seem to have disappeared. Little did I know they are spawning. LOL...there is more to bass fishing than meets the eye. I look forward to many years of bass fishing to come and am glad to find a wonderful place to exchange information and ask questions. Regards, OTR Quote
