It has been mentioned that yozuri hybrid is a good line for a bunch of different techniques.  I just wanted to make sure i was getting the right stuff.  There are a few different kinds of yozuri hybrid on amazon.  Is this one good? has anyone used this specific line?

Yep!! That's the one I use in 12lb. Really good line. Tough as nails. Look in your local Walmart's they sell the exact spool.

Ok cool.  would love to hear other opinions as well I fish super clear lakes so I would use this line in clear water for my crankin stick and probably jigs.  I will also have set ups with 50 and 20 pound braid with flouro leaders.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid: absolutely.  Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft: never.

And the flourocarbon/nylon hybrid is the good stuff?  the others say flourocarbon and super resin process or flourocarbon polymer alloy etc..

Or are they all the same thing really.

I been using it since 2000, rest easy it's phenomenal line.. Also, there is no invisible line whether the water is clear or dirty.. Yo will work!

Sounds good.  what techniques do you use it for?  cranking?  Also should it be stored a certain way?

Love that stuff. I store it just like any other line, out of direct sunlight. I can not find it at my local walmart and Bass Pro no longer carries it. I like 12 lb and 15 lb

I use from #6 to #20 I use it for about everything.

6 on spinning, 8 for crankbaits, 10 to 20 on Jigs, trig plastics, flipping & pitching... I don't use braid.

One reel ( spinning ) spooled with #6 FC for wacky rigs.. I also use Pline Cxx as well as Silverthread co-poly.. They all are great lines IMO

Big game & Yozuri are both tough, I like Yozuri a little better..

Great line.  I have had some 600 yard spools of 6 lb and 10 lb for years and it is still great line.  I picked them up cheap.  At $4 for 600 yards, I couldn't say no.  It has taken me 6 years to use it all.   I would say it is one of the best bangs for the buck out there when it comes to line.

That's what I'm all about haha.

I use it for everything, fresh and salt- except my braid reels ( punch rod, frog rod, popping cork for salt) .

I use 12# smoke on my spinnerbait/chatterbait setup and about to change over my cranking combo also and toss the Invisex.

Do you use backing for hybrid? or just tie it right to the spool?

I use a cheap mono backing and then spool the yozuri. Its always worked best for me this way.

I spool straight up myself..

What makes this line 'special?' Why use it instead of another type of line?

Why use it? Because I like it, why? Cause it's a tough line, it's reasonable in cost & 17 years of using it, I have supreme confidence in it. I put CXX a close second w big game right in the hunt.

I'm not a braid user, and content with Yo & CXX

For me, it really shines in rocky environments..

I use from 6 to 20#..
