I have my first away tournament this weekend.  I'll be fishing all day Friday, Saturday and the tournament is Sunday.  I've never fished 3 days straight before.

Any tips on what all to bring?  Advil, drink water, rain gear, spare line, drink water, etc and drink lots of water.  I have an extra 3700 deep one compartment plano filled with extra plastics.

Thanks!

I'd take that first day and do nothing but graph. I never have that much pre practice

I agree with jhoffman on this. On the second day if you get a few bites, move on! Dont burn up good water by sticking all the fish. Get a base pattern and finish figuring it out on the tournament day.

How big is the lake/pond? If its fairly large, like 7,000+ acres, I would graph the first day until lunch. Then I would fish the rest of the day and the next.

Make sure you stay hydrated, lol.

Pick a prime area to focus your Prefishing on. Once you get a pattern, do the "dipstick" test on some similar spots. Only stick a few of the fish, so you can see the size. Keep in mind, you'll probably have to make adjustments each day, and the ones you make on TX day will make or break you.

Agree with J. Try to establish a pattern and don't be afraid to stick a few fish to see the quality. Be prepared to fall back and punt if conditions change. How they bite Friday may be all together different than how they bite Sunday.

Thanks for all the replies.  Good points all around, especially about only getting a sample size and moving on.  Adjustments are going to be key like mentioned, just hope I make the right ones.
