Mista bass Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Has anyone seen these? Supposedly they emmit an electronic bait fish sound to attract fish. Is this just a gimmick comparable to "mighty bite" or does it actually work. I can't bring myself to believe it would actually work. I Bought one to see what it was about and I've never heard any baitfish make these noises lol. Anyone have any experience with them? Let's hear your take on it! -Matt Quote
yugrac Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I have a few of them, do they work? well, I have tied one on when nothing else was working and caught fish, but I have also used them with no results. The sound they make is like the sounds Hydro waves make, its intended to make the sound of bass feeding on baitfish, not baitfish themselves. Quote
Mr_Frodo Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Sounds like snake oil to me I don't believe it for a second Quote
Robeng Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I have two. Tried one day after not getting fish and whammo-fish on. One after another. Next time out nothing. I have the original models, the new models with three sounds, I have not tried. I would like to try this in a controlled environment to see. Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 The electronic sound is very faint. They have rattles too which totally drown out the electronic sound. It BS Quote
stkbassn Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I like the color of the "dream master classic" . I'm going to order it and throw it at night this year. That color works for me at night. We shall see how it produces. Looks good anyway. Quote
Dyerbassman Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 And once the battery dies, you have a regular lure. Quote

I have a few, and it seems that every time I'm having a bad day.. I throw it on and get bit. And if they were a gimmick, I don't think Randy Howell would endorse it so highly, and also win the Bassmaster Classics on Guntersville..! Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 They are a good quality crankbait. I just dont believe the electronic sound adds anything Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 22, 2015 Super User Posted April 22, 2015 I've got one and have also had mixed results. The eyes on the crankbait also light up and glow red every few seconds. I'm not sure if they produce great or not. I've caught some decent smallmouth on it when I used it. I might need to do some more experimenting with them. These work.. And if they were a gimmick, I don't think Randy Howell would endorse it so highly, and also win the Bassmaster Classics on Guntersville..! It's still debatable that he actually won it on that bait. He was using a Rapala DT6 for the majority of the tourney, and if I remember correctly he only switched AFTER he had his limit for the final day. Granted he caught some kickers to cull some of those out, but we also don't know that he wouldn't have caught what he did if he had kept using the DT6 or switched over to another crankbait with a different profile. AQUA VELVA Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I would probably try one if it had replaceable batteries. Quote
