BIG M Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Here are a few more little round bodies and a lone M-flat. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 15, 2008 Super User Posted November 15, 2008 Love the bills. Nice looking baits. Quote
whittler Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Gotta love those small cranks, super color on that bottom bait. Flawless work, as always. Quote
ernel Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Nice. I think the bottom may be for Marty to fish personally. Eric Quote
The_Natural Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Hey there big M....nice cranks. How are you making yours....wire frame? Are you cutting the bait in half to place it? Quote
BIG M Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 No I don't use a thru wire harness. I do not feel it's needed for bass baits and I've never been able to pull 1 of my hangers out. My brother uses my wake baits for Redfish and none have come apart yet. Quote
BIG M Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 jbass, I've got 3 of the cheap baits from Jann's with about 100 coats of paint on each one. That's how I come with the color combo's. Quote

I use a tungsten bullet wait with a cotter pin as my ballast, and then a cotter pen for the tail and either a wire or cotter pin for the nose. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I really like that bottom one. Sweet paintin. Quote
dan82205 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Nice work Big M i actually picked up som cotter pins today to try it that way do you just glue them in straight and it holds fine this way???? Dan Quote
BIG M Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 I crimp one end over on it's self and mash it in a vise. It won't pull out if you do that way. I have done several baits for myself without crimping the end and those have held very well. I just make sure that I coat the line tie and hangers with my topcoat for extra strength. Then just drill out the epoxy and install the rings/hooks. Quote
dan82205 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 great should make things easier Thanks alot Dan Quote
